This was and is a chance to learn about and experience a part of a culture and way of life that is fading away and dying out, despite being one of the cornerstones of any modern civilization.

The exhibition was hugely successful and received extensive media coverage on a local and national scale. It has been invited back to Cork for two weeks as part of the Mid Summer Festival. As a result ‘Eyes of the Docks' will soon be going on tour to Belfast , Amsterdam , Rotterdam and Liverpool .

The artists included Hani Alqam from Jordan, Raed Ibrahim from the Lebanon, Ruud Lanfermeijer and Remko Van Dokkum from the Netherlands, Marcel Wierckx from Canada and Sally Maidment, Charlotte Donovan, Jill McKeown from Ireland.
